The Legal Profession's Dirty Little Secret

No one, especially not the profession as a whole, law schools or even lawyers themselves, wants to fully acknowledge there is a big pink (or rather very gray) elephant in the room. And this elephant is depression and the fact a significant percentage of attorneys suffer severe and debilitating depression. Especially the solo.

It's All In The Education

Let’s face it, everything is about education and life-long learning. It is celebrating those who impart knowledge tirelessly in that more structured environment, the one which dispenses degrees. It’s all about the teachers.

But it also embraces, in my opinion, the accidental educator. Who is the accidental educator?

There Is No Competition. That's Right. There is No Competition.

This philosophy has propelled me throughout my life because it is not about winning at the expense of another (yet, when someone wins, in a strictly competitive world another loses) but simply to better my experiences, to rise to the next level of skill and success.

This ‘no competition’ attitude is key to successfully marketing your solo practice. Let me explain.
