As a new lawyer one of the most daunting tasks is setting fees for your services.  Many lawyers won’t tell you why they charge what they charge when asked. Every jurisdiction has a different idea of ‘reasonable and customary’. If too many lawyers discuss their fees the bar will sometimes fear antitrust issues. Seriously.  Plus, you have your own inhibitions believing you don’t have the right to charge ‘as much’ or you give too much time away for free not valuing your services.
