If you live in Connecticut you have heard of John Haymond and the Haymond Law Firm. With a h/t to Norm Pattis, we discover that John Haymond has turned into ‘Simply Irresistible’ Robert Palmer and now has a bevvy of (cough in hand) beauties promoting his law firm to his biker audience.

That was weird. Sadly, I bet it’s an effective ad.
Is the message about sex/beautiful girls? Sure it is.
But it’s also about being a part of a strong community. California lawyer Norm Fernandez, who was recently featured in the ABA Journal, also markets to the biker community. His most important credential: he’s a member of that community. His blog is at http://bikerlawblog.com/. We could all take a lesson on message to market match from this ad.
Definitely a distasteful marketing move. But I feel compelled to correct the record here: “Simply Irresistible” is by Robert Palmer. Robert Plant was the lead singer of Led Zeppelin and would never be caught dead singing that song.
I know that and thought I had corrected…will do so now!
