James, when we talked last summer you were skeptical about the idea you could teach lawyers to turn down the legalese and up the volume on their everyday language. I convinced you to give it a try because more lawyers want to get comfortable presenting themselves the way they are and in doing so fashioning their message and their brand.
I’m excited about ‘how’ you are going to teach…strictly through your writing and written conversations in the communities.
Nothing could be more compelling to make your point. As I know, your entire business, including your relationships with your clients is strictly through writing Does that tell you the power of the written word and why it is so critical for lawyers to learn how to do so in this day and age?
Welcome aboard, mon ami.(did I get that right or wrong?)
*chuckles* You got it right
It’s a pleasure to be on board. While I may be intimidated by the company I’m keeping (though too cocky and confident not to shoulder my way in!), I think this is going to be a fantastic venture.
It’s time to hit the real world with students here at SPU and help them start reaching the very people who become their clients – and in ways they never thought they’d be able to do so.
I’ll be completely honest: I think this is the most exciting faculty announcement yet! I really need some help with my copywriting, and it looks like James will be a great teacher.
Excellent choice, Susan. James has been my favorite Internet Professor for a while now.
