Audio: Good Enough Is The New Perfect – Hollee S. Temple

Hollee S. Temple is a journalist-turned-lawyer-turned-professor at West Virginia University College of Law and co-author of the book, Good Enough is the New Perfect.

Hollee and I had a terrific conversation about the challenges facing professional women when it comes to working and raising a family. This book is not the same old saw about working moms vs stay at home moms.  This book is liberating as it discusses the actual process  – unique to each and everyone of us – to letting go (or accepting ‘good enough’) in certain areas of our lives to allow for greater successes in all aspects of our lives.  Please listen and share your thoughts as it is very, very relevant to the solo practitioner today.

After graduating at the top of her class with a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, Hollee headed to Duke University School of Law. She graduated in 1999, and then began a four-year stint as a litigation associate at an international law firm. After her first son was born in 2002, Temple returned to her firm on a part-time basis before joining the WVU faculty the next year. Hollee lives in Morgantown, West Virginia, with her husband, John, an author and journalism professor, and their two sons, Gideon and Henry.
