Bridges for Law Schools

Bridges for Law Schools

Building Bridges to Professional Independence

Solo Practice University® bridges the gap from law school to solo practice for the thousands of lawyers who have opted to open their own practices right out of law school or shortly thereafter.

Solo Practice University® is now entering into strategic relationships with progressive law schools that realize a significant percentage of their students will practice as independent professionals and have made the commitment to help them achieve their goals.

What does the Bridges program do?

Solo Practice University® and its law school partner enter into an agreement by which the school purchases a block of scholarships for its upper-year students and alumni at a reduced rate and arranges a similar discount rate for its other students and alumni who do not receive these scholarships.

Solo Practice University® creates a special branded “portal” on its website for each participating law school, through which students and alumni can enroll. New arrivals can also connect with current Solo Practice University® users from their school.

What schools are involved in the Bridges program?

The inaugural partner for Solo Practice University’s® Bridges program is New York Law School, one of the mostly highly respected law faculties in the United States. We have recently welcomed Chapman University School of Law and University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Discussions are currently ongoing with several other well-regarded law schools and more announcements are coming.

The Bridges program is available to every ABA-accredited law school in the U.S., as well as to similarly accredited law schools in foreign countries. Current Solo Practice University® enrollees hail from more than 200 American and 17 foreign law schools.
