Brian S. Devery is a Transactional Attorney practicing in all areas of Real Estate Law, including Mortgage Banking, Loan Modifications, Short Sales and Foreclosures. He will co-teach a course entitled “The Basics of a Real Estate Transaction’ with his wife and partner, Stefanie N. Devery at Solo Practice University®.

Brian is a graduate from the State University of New York at Albany earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in European History, and a graduate of Hofstra University School of Law earning his Juris Doctor. While attending Hofstra Law, Brian met his wife and current law partner, Stefanie N. Devery. Brian has interned for the Honorable Leonard D. Wexler, Chief Judge for the Eastern District of New York and prior to graduation and admittance to the Bar clerked at a small firm practicing in Real Estate and Lender Representation. Brian was admitted to practice before the courts of The State of New York in May of 2003.

Upon admittance to the Bar, Brian founded The Law Offices of Brian S. Devery, Esq. and was in house counsel to a major mortgage bank in Nassau County, New York. Brian was responsible for every aspect of the mortgage transaction from initial underwriting requirements to final packaging and sale of the loan to the end investor including, oversight of outside counsel, drawing and drafting specific mortgage related documentation, resolution of title issues, representation of the lender at closing, disbursement of funds and compliance with State and Federal regulations. Brian developed a reputation for thinking “outside the box” and demand for his services increased. Brian expanded his practice retaining his position as In House Counsel and joined his practice with Stefanie’s to form Devery & Devery, P.L.L.C. where he and his wife practiced in all aspects of Transactional Real Estate representing Mortgage Lenders, Buyers, Sellers and Title companies. Brian and his wife have taken part in thousands of Real Estate transactions from every possible angle. Brian also taught a Real Estate class for continuing education, Paralegal Studies at C.W. Post, Long Island University. In 2009, Brian and his wife relocated and founded the new firm of The Devery Law Group, P.C.

Brian is a lifelong New Yorker, born and raised on the South Shore of Long Island. Brian continues to reside on Long Island with his wife and two small children. Brian is an avid but terrible golfer and technophile.
