  • I know several BigLaw associates who, having been passed over for partner, are now practicing in solo or small partnership law practices. They all are seemingly very successful and satisfied in their new roles. But I always associated “going solo” with a fallback position, a Plan B.

After reading Solo by Choice, I no longer make that association. Instead, “going solo” now represents the opportunity and freedom to create the career (and life!) of my dreams. I highly recommend this book!

  • Solo by Choice is a fantastic resource for anyone considering going solo. I especially liked the action items and the quotes from solo practitioners describing problems and solutions they encountered. My copy of the book is pretty worn at this point, but I still find myself going back to it often as I get ready to open my firm in the next couple of months. I highly recommend this book if you are thinking about going solo. Love the practical advice and all of the tips!
