1. Walmart pays attorney ok salary say $100,000.00 + benefits + taxes...so walmart pays attorney $150,000.00/year.

2. Walmart requires attorney to work 70 hours a week. (don't like it work elsewhere)

3. Walmart has a staff of 145 attorneys at $40.00/hr.

4. Say each medicaid case takes 50 hours.

5. It cost Walmart $2000.00 to get the "client" on medicaid.

6. Walmart collects medicaid benefits for the "client's" lifetime.

7. Walmart hires physicians for $100,000.00 year (rinse and repeat)

Sounds like a good deal to me

There is no room for solos in this game, unless you are a PI attorney (and forget about the class action)

Exactly, Tony. On the surface it seems like a win for all involved initially. Yet once you look at the disparate parts and the 'hero' in this Greek tragedy there is alot of disease.

Thanks for a fascinating article. I'm sure Walmart legal-aid may have some short-term benefits for lawyers and for the poor, but the long-term ramifications concern me.
